Dr. Patel is from New Orleans, LA. He attended Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge, LA followed by Louisiana State University where he obtained a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Patel received his medical degree in 2005 at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. After finishing an internal medicine internship at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, he completed an Anesthesiology residency at Tulane University. Dr. Patel then combined a passion for medicine and teaching at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he served as an assistant professor for the Anesthesiology Department. In this role, he earned the respect and admiration of his students who named him one of the department’s “Top 10 Teachers” two years in a row. Dr. Patel continued his training with a fellowship in Pain Management at UAB. Dr. Patel joined The NeuroMedical Center in 2012 and specializes in treating low back and chronic neck pain. He also is an expert in rehabilitating patients with failed back surgery syndrome. Dr. Patel is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the International Anesthesia Research Society. Dr. Patel is dual board certified in Pain Medicine and in Anesthesiology. He is currently accepting new patients.

When Dr. Patel is not in the office or hospital, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Tatiana, and two sons, Roman and Ravi. He likes to spend his weekends outdoors whether it is relaxing by the pool, attending his kids' sporting events, or cheering on the LSU Tigers!

Emily is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Emily went on to earn a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from LSUHSC-Shreveport in 2014.  She joined The NeuroMedical Center team in 2014. She is a member of Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants and American Academy of Physician Assistants.
